Training Resources Group - Manila Office

Pros

Good pay. The managers are nice and helpful. No work on weekends. Usually no overtime (not sure for the other departments though). Not sure if this counts as a pro, but I guess career opportunities are good since a lot of people leave.

Cons

Your work is recorded via screenshots every two minutes. You have three timers that monitor your work. Work processes are all over the place. No proper work methodology. You do work outside of your scope. You need to provide evidence every time you go on sick leave or when you clock out early. A lot of your time gets eaten up by complying with HR's absurd rules. Very high attrition rate. No health insurance on the first day of work, you have to wait until you are regularized after six months.

Office Politics and Improper use of Hubstaff/timetracker

Pros

Monthly Lunch Out / Nibbles Allowance Permanent WFH

Cons

Improper use of Hubstaff/time-tracker: They are obsessed about the high number/high activity levels but disregards the fact that their employees would use "tricks" just to get the high numbers. Tricks that would make their employees inefficient. HR: Would ask for feedback only to use against you. Bad management: They will give you additional tasks that are not related to your work/job description but would never give you a raise or promotion

Pretense of family, extreme micromanagement

Pros

they provide equipment even if you work from home, monthly free lunch

Cons

they use software to track keyboard and mouse activity, they read your chats, executive management is obsessed with cutting losses and optimizing resources to the point that people leave. middle-higher management have a gossip circle and do not have the patience or good will to invest people's skills or rapport. they tout great work-life balance, but since they impose extreme requirements, you end up not having that balance anyway just to deliver what they want
