I have been working at Trendzer full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Personal and professional development is both encouraged and nurtured. - Cool platform to work on - Lots of support within your role - Lateral hierarchy allows for ownership of your role - Fun, laid back place to work!

    Cons

    - Small company at the moment, but growing and expanding quickly. - Have to operate within the platform so some limitations on the role.

I worked at Trendzer full-time for more than a year

    Pros

A good level of training was given by my line manager when I started the job

    Cons

An ambitious company they may have been, but it was one which was completely unprepared to spend in any kind of meaningful way to achieve this without asking staff to perform miracles No plans in place to replace important members of staff when they left - the workload was simply shifted to those that remained and the pay was so poor that it was difficult to see how anybody below management level enjoyed their job Obnoxious management, in particular the Chief Strategy (?) Officer, who fancies himself as a Steve Jobs-type maestro but whose job seemed to be to pretend he was important and visionary in front of staff, customers and potential investors and partners Unrealistic targets - simply not remotely achievable, largely due to the fact that those in control of the targets had no idea of the reality of the job at the coal-face - quite a feat for a company so small! Absolutely no attempt to reward employees or make them feel valued - zero benefits, zero pay increases even for those who had been there for a number of years, and zero attention paid to work/life balance Total contempt for customers and staff upon the announcement of liquidation in summer of 2017 - staff laid off immediately with absolutely no warning, others asked to work for free and promised deadlines for updates to be given on the future of the company missed

I worked at Trendzer full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Trendzer have shaped my career for the future. I am very confident to apply my skills and training I have acquired to new opportunities in other business to business areas. Management are always on hand to help, encourage and train you when it's needed. They also provide great constructive feedback so you can adjust and learn from any areas picked up on quality control.

    Cons

Administrative duties are a part of any job. There are a lot of systems to learn and administration required on a daily basis. With any sales position you have to plan you day, week and month. Fail to plan and you will plan to fail.

I worked at Trendzer full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

There is no limit in what you can do at Trendzer. As a small company, with dynamic leadership, there is plenty of opportunity to influence direction and really make a difference while progressing your career. If you are talented and willing to work, you will be very successful. As someone who joined the business as an Admin Assistant and went on to head up the largest department within the company, I can certainly vouch for that. For me and for many others, Trendzer is more than just a job. It gives you the ability to work in a really cool industry with some very smart people. Importantly, it makes you feel a part of something. In recent times, the company has adapted a lot to meet the demands of the market and the requirements of the staff. The level of communication is impressive with a monthly company-wide get together. At this meeting, we informally discuss the positives across the business and also look at what can maybe be done better. There is also a formal quarterly update from the CEO, which provides far more ‘real’ information than most businesses would be transparent enough to show. The recent introduction of daily profit reporting shows a real trust in the employees and a true demonstration that the company profit scheme is a real business driver. Each employee has a personal development plan, ensuring that there is continual training and mentoring, again highlighting that the company is living its mantra of ‘we want to make you a better professional’. Trendzer is something different. Admittedly it’s not for everyone. You need to want to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. But if you put your head down and work hard, you will be heavily rewarded. I am incredibly proud of my time at Trendzer. I leave knowing that I have gained so much experience in a relatively short time and learned far more in my time here than most could hope to learn in a lifetime. I really do wish the company every success and the current and future employees the very best of luck.

    Cons

Tight deadlines and changing demands of channel partners can take its toll on even the most hardened employees – but I guess that comes with building a very successful business.

    I worked at Trendzer

    Pros

Although I was only with the company for just under 2 months I would recommend it as a place of work to anyone. All the people are amazing and very welcoming and I was made to feel a part of the team from day one. While at Trendzer I was taken out for a meal courtesy of management and also treated to pizza for managing to hit our targets which really showed us the appreciation of our hard work.

    Cons

I honestly have nothing bad to say about the company and had a great time working for Trendzer

I have been working at Trendzer full-time

    Pros

The people working at the coal face are great. We have been through so much together we have formed some really close bonds. I enjoyed the work and the direction the company appeared to be going. My direct manager whilst being a bit of a jobs worth is not a bad person.

    Cons

This is a new company formed from the ashes of RSTO Ltd. Those now directly in charge of the department are sadly way out of touch and have little or no idea how to manage the department or the people within it. We have been told many outright lies which we receive no apology for but instead expected to work and should be "grateful" that we have jobs. I can assure you most of us would have preferred redundancy as this is what happened to half the company in November. We used to trust in our superiors but now we are full of dis-trust and actively looking to exist the business as soon as possible. Whatever is reported to the CEO regarding the department is obviously flat out lies trying to cover management failures and trying to gain credit for anything and everything possible. The worst part of all is the patronizing tone used when spoken to by those in charge of service delivery, They also speak very loudly when they think no-one is listening and frankly insult us by talking about us calling us all manner of derogatory terms.

    Trendzer Response

    January 27, 2015CEO

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. All change can be challenging and we certainly understand that new directions and remits, even if temporary, don't always work for everyone. Thanks for the positive sentiments on the team you have been working with and the fact that you loved your work previously. I’m very positive about the prospects for the company and would welcome a discussion to hear your thoughts on why that has changed for you, and on the areas you feel are not being reflected correctly. We would always prefer to resolve personal disagreements and retain good people and skills. However we also accept that maybe your choice to move on is the right one if you can't reconcile that with your other views. In that case, I thank you for your time in the company and hope that the skills learnt here hold you in good stead in your future career. Warren Gee, CEO

    I worked at Trendzer full-time

    Pros

The teams were small, quite a lot of younger people, and we've gotten pretty close. My direct manager was very pragmatic but overall a nice person. I was able to develop my skills a lot. It was nice to work for a small company with international relations. Working for Trendzer has been a learning experience in both a good and a bad way.

    Cons

Oh man, where do I start? Many decisions regarding the platform and customer care were made by senior management staff in the UK, hardly using input from people that actually work on the platform and speak to the customers. There was little flexibility regarding working hours and workplaces. UK policies were also used for Dutch employees, even though some policies did not fit Dutch work culture at all. The line "This is normal in the UK" was used a lot as an excuse, but seeing as half of the team isn't in the UK, it doesn't count. All in all, we were told many flat out lies and whenever we spoke up, they either ignored the situation or replied in a derogatory manner. The office itself was very basic and uninspired. Whenever something was broken, it wouldn’t be fixed. The coffee was bad and often out of stock. We initially didn’t have warm water. The instalment of a simple kitchen was hailed as some sort of miracle, when it's honestly just a basic need. Asking for office supplies, such as proper equipment and storage space, was a huge struggle. Sometimes there was no toilet paper, so we brought our own just in case. The salaries were quite bad. If they managed to pay you by the end of the month, that is. Getting a reimbursement for travel expenses is normal in the Netherlands, but Trendzer initially refused to provide this. Holiday money was incorporated in the gross salary to hide the fact that the salary was absurdly low. There was no Christmas/end of the year bonus or a pension scheme. There is a company bonus scheme, but nobody has ever seen a dime of that. Trendzer has gone bankrupt twice, and the companies that Trendzer arose from have dealt with bankruptcy too. The owner actually works in Sales and not as CEO; however, he still has a lot of influence, even though he seems to have no clue about how to run a business and doesn't care if employees are being paid. Yet somehow after each bankruptcy, he’s got enough money to set up a new business, while his employees still have several months' worth of salaries to receive.
