Pros

- Depending on role, pay is competitive - Genuinely caring and competent individuals scattered throughout the organization - Stated Mission is one that resonates with me personally - Does allow internal mobility (but contributes to a con listed below)

Cons

- One of the most toxic cultures I've experienced in my career of ~10 companies - Preaches itself as a People company; doesn't live up to that in practice - Most leaders aren't interested in solving problems - just playing politics - Top-down management culture (no ownership in your role unless your ED / DVP+) - Firedrill culture (no accountability to planning, strategy, prioritization) - Lack of accountability towards outcomes: those who care and/or are competent to have to pick up the slack and fix the problems caused by those not held accountable for their persistent lack of performance - Significant portion of the workforce are okay with the above; leaching the SMB's they serve money and time

Pros

Good benefits. They have great idea for the company and culture just no follow through.

Cons

Management in Bradenton FL are requiring employees in a "Glassdoor Initiative" to write positive reviews because of the overwhelming poor reviews which are pretty spot on. That is just 1 example of the untrustworthy culture and company. They have changed comp structure so many times which consistently hurts the employees. In the field there are employees making over 100k base salary while others make lower than 65k. I personally have been with the company close to 2 years and found out a new hire is making 10k more than me a year with zero experience in PEO. No leadership. Turnover in upper management is just as high as sales consultants. Within a year, expect to see half of your co-workers gone. The technology is crumbling and everyone blames someone else instead of taking accountability.

Pros

Salary and benefits are decent. Work with some really great people.

Cons

Where to start??? Despite being around since 88 this company is still going through growing pains - answering to the stockholders and forgetting to make decisions good for the business and the employees who work here. Decisions are made behind closed doors time and a again by a few ELT members concerned only with image and communication of impact is non-existent. These decisions are always big and affect the employees and clients and often seem to fix what’s not broken leading to a lot of confusion, employee dis-satisfaction and incredible attrition and they never turn the lens on themselves as the actual issue. These leaders are so out of touch with the day to day and most likely sit in a room telling each-other how wonderful they are all day long rather than actually work. The company continues to boast and have meeting after meeting about employee wellness, engagement surveys, “we care about you” “ we want to hear what you think” blah blah blah and does NOTHING about the input. The same issues come up every year and still nothing is done to fix it. Instead they spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a new system at the whim of one HR ELT person who has an ego the size of CA and only knows how to drop the latest “terms” so they sound intelligent OR for fancy client photos on yet another (!) marketing campaign and then they lay off entire departments! Work life is non existent - exceptionally long hours and a horrendous Covid response - actions don’t match words ELT! The ELT and CEO refuse to see or listen to valuable members of the team, HR has brought in a few terrible hires who only care about their own agenda, their image and their vision with no regard whatsoever for the employees or looking at the actual work that’s being done. Good performance is viewed as a threat to those leaders and has led to many sudden “departures” through out my tenure (which no one ever talks about) and they keep only those who feed the egos and keep quiet or blindly Moreover culture can be abusive and unfair - again, if it doesn’t service the egos of the ELT it doesn’t matter what work you do well. It’s a shame really - TN has some wonderful people and so many employees are genuine and hard working - it would almost be better if the company admitted they don’t care and stop asking for our opinions. At least own up to it and stop pretending like you care. I am counting the days until I find a new job - reorg after reorg starts to really wear on you as an employee and never feeling like you’re safe is a terrible way to show up every day. Do yourself a favor and if you’re considering a job here, scroll through the earlier reviews - a campaign was just completed to increase the score on GD and people were “requested” to add some positive reviews.
