Pros

incredibly exciting start-up environment with lots of autonomy for individuals to to have an impact, get recognition and to create your own destiny. opportunity to make a lot of money with commissions and of course stock options. data engineering and big data is the hottest space in tech right now and will be for some time to come. amazing customers with interesting use cases. revolutionary product that is 2+ years ahead of competition. everyone in the company is working towards the same goal.

Cons

if you like the comfort of big company process and a slower paced work environment this is not for you. you would need to be interested in data and analytics even if you don't have that background necessarily. you often need to wear more than one hat in order to get things done.

Pros

Big Data is a hot on the market. A number of great employees. A great office location on Market Street.

Cons

In Feb. 2016, Trifacta raised venture capital of $35M that they're planning to spend on new engineering management and few down-to-Earth senior software engineers. Previous A, B, and C series capital ejections were spent on enthusiastic software engineers with PHD degrees, no work experience and a big self-opinion. The kids made big mess and blamed QA manager and his team for the quality issues, and VPE - for "doing nothing". As a result they all got fired. Current engineers aren't happy and hate standing on daily scrums they have to. People don't smile. The workspace has no positive energy flow. No faith.
