Pros

A great opportunity for those willing to take a risk starting an IT sales career at a highly challenging, US led start up. American Culture, food and entertainment to encourage the sales team to work long hours and stay in for lunch. Career progression for those who are relentless, willing to do whatever it takes to get to where they want to be (advise a signed agreement). Equally, the experience gained is valuable when applied to a normal IT sales role at another company.

Cons

Pay is below industry standard although justified by the company as an opportunity to be part of a technology start up. Looked down upon to take holiday entitlement or leave the office before 5:30pm. There is a lack of organisation around distribution of sales territory, team's time management and transparency on the constant change which is often not explained. New hires are learning from new hires the American way to do business in the UK. Expectations from performance, Quota's to working hours have contributed towards one of Reading's highest staff turnover sales offices although depending on who you are you may thrive in this environment. Avoids hiring A players to keep costs low. US management do not understand how to run a UK business and can be aggressive when you bring a problem to their attention.

Pros

They seem to pay generously enough with a small potential to make large amounts of money (however no more so than most other vendors that offer a much more pleasing work environment).# Potential to grow within the company

Cons

Company directors are either extremely impersonable and on many occasions just downright rude. The CEO especially makes employees deliberately feel difficult if you don't worship him like some sort of demigod (this attitude runs throughout the whole directorship of the company, just more so with the CEO). The hours are absolutely horrendous and the expectations of performance are not much better, if you don't like 12 hour days of hard slog with a huge amount of micromanagement and unattainable KPI's then this is not the place for you. Despite the technology being spouted as revolutionary and applicable to many organisations, its really not. A lot of people that you speak to simply do not trust the outcome of what the system is telling them reducing the value of the product greatly. Large enterprises pretty much need only apply for this niche product.
