Pros

The best thing about my experience at upshift was leaving.

Cons

Unbelievable. I was force scheduled at the last minute for a 3 hr dishwasher shift that nobody wanted. I never confirmed this shift, and it did NOT appear in my accepted shifts list, so I had no idea that I had even been scheduled for it. Naturally, it became a no call no show for a shift I never confirmed. I am therefore penalized with a lifetime ban. Absolutely obsurd, discriminatory, and fraudulent. I attempted to contact them but never could actually speak to anyone (huge red flag.) All I got seemed like bot driven policy rhetoric that ignored the actual circumstances of my supposed shift.

Pros

Via App performance driven, you have the ability to freelance with events,

Cons

The app has flaws, it shifts your reserved job timeslots. Although you select it and confirm your choice of location and date of employment, I have seen the date and time change and could not prove it. It was done inside. They fire you when you don’t show up to that slot you did not choose. Unprofessional communication was witnessed two occasions: At the initial screening at Druid Hills when the interviewers came 30 mins late to 14 people waiting outside in the doorway to the rented office they stage. 2nd when I texted and notified of the wrong time and how I may have made the error selecting the wrong time and date. But it is confirmed this was a set up from the inside staff who may have had notes in the database of how I asked questions at the orientation on why the first thing they ask for was Social Security Cards and Drivers License and did not Bother the apologize for being late coming from lunch and did not bother to introduce the company and mission statement or set an expectation for the employees interested in coming on board. To make it look good they sent me the one job..I had good review. but the next they mixed my date and time up on the app. switching it. I read a Review of another who had a pretty close experience. I also had an executive at a Fortune 500 corporation request they allow me another chance and clear that mix up. They said flat NO. Now that’s amazing. They can be late for a 13 person standing in line for an hour waiting for them to come back from lunch late orientation which I witnessed. But no grace for an app mix up. by the way the 2college girls interviewing laughed at my drivers license and whispered stating :bald.

Pros

Loved it until I received 3 strikes for supposed"dereliction of duty" from one company. This company offers to hire me full time and denied ever making this accusation but Upshift had deleted me from the app before this could be explained. No way to contact. Good pay just hope you never have mixup or misunderstanding because you won't be able to contact anyone.

Cons

If there is a mixup or misunderstanding on the empowers part, you are fired without a way to correct issue.
