Incredible experience all around!
Pros
My time at VML was hard to fault. What first comes to mind is how it showed me what effective, thoughtful and inspirational leadership looks like on an individual level and on a wider scale. The team is enthusiastic, passionate, and helpful. They prioritise teamwork and facilitating growth, skill utilisation and development, and making the most out of this incredible technology. The staff at every level were, to put it lightly, extremely talented and knowledgeable; they were always more than happy to help me work on on things I struggled with or was unfamiliar with, and made sure I was getting everything I wanted out of my time there while also making me feel appreciated for my pre-existing qualifications and skill set. Since then I have now gone on to pursue a professional Master’s degree at Cambridge University and they provided a wonderful year of work before starting, and an invaluable knowledge base of everything tech-related that I have been able to use to enhance to my academic endeavours. Being around enthusiastic and passionate people made the work environment incredibly enjoyable and exciting to be part of.
Cons
The only con I can think of was my difficulty getting a grasp of some tech-related subjects I created content around—but that’s up to my previous work experience centring on very different arenas.
