Pros

I started my time with VRA receiving two weeks of elaborate training from two veteran cleaners that also happened to be the nicest, most down to earth individuals. The job itself was super straight forward and easy to learn, I was trained and working houses independently within weeks. The thing that makes VRA a step above other cleaning companies is the people. Management is a well oiled machine and everyone knows their place within the company and how they can help each other succeed. Not only did I feel supported throughout my time with VRA, but I also felt respected. A lot of seasonal businesses have a hard time keeping long term workers, but that is not the case at VRA and I feel like that is due to the support you receive from your coworkers.

Cons

House cleaning can be trying, its hard work, it's not very glamorous.

Pros

I've experienced numerous pros while working here, including, but not limited to: 1. Leadership: Empathetic / care about people, openminded, humble, and driven 2. Awesome team members who hold similar values to the leadership team. Made some great friends, who I've worked with for years now. 3. Unique model 4. Career and personal growth 5. A balance of work, family, life 6. I'm consistently challenged; have yet to be bored 7. Year around salary in a very seasonal environment where these opportunities are hard to come by. Also, I don't feel guilty for taking vacations; encouraged to do so. Have been given extra vacation days, bonuses, and even cool gifts. 8. Relatively low turnaround for the industry 9. Working and living in Tahoe 10. Opportunity to advance. I moved from a one day per week rental cleaner, was able to grow in customer relations, and then have been able to develop managing people, and regional and company goals. 11. Dialed and methodical operations 12. Team activities.

Cons

It's a tough industry, and not for those who aren't ready to work hard. Must have some level of "grit" to work vacation rental hospitality, especially field operations in a four season environment with two major peak seasons and big Tahoe winters. Must be solution orientated.
