As a employee, my experience with this company was nothing short of a rollercoaster, characterized by extreme narcissism, a severe lack of work-life balance, client's disrespect and egotistical middle management.
Firstly, the company's culture is marred by an overwhelming sense of narcissism. From top to bottom, there is a pervasive attitude of self-importance that can be suffocating. This culture is reflected in the way decisions are made.
Work-life balance is a distant dream at Vector Consulting Group. The relentless demands of the job, coupled with unrealistic expectations, create an environment where personal time becomes a luxury. Employees are often tethered to their work, with little regard for their well-being outside the office. This imbalance takes a toll on both physical and mental health, contributing to a high turnover rate.
Middle management, purportedly the bridge between employees and higher-ups, is a major source of frustration. Their communication skills leave much to be desired, often veering into arrogance. Interactions with them can feel like navigating a minefield of egos, where constructive feedback is rare, and dissent is met with hostility. This lack of empathy and understanding hampers the growth and morale of the team. Attrition rate is high due to this kind of toxic culture.
