      Needs Exec Team Shake-up

      Pros

      Interesting cyber security technology with a unique proposition. Charismatic and accessible CEO who can charm funding from VCs.

      Cons

      Huge disruption caused by cycles of expansion and retraction, especially in the sales and marketing teams, with huge swathes of good, talented people let go. Oddest company culture - very political and cliquey - despite the claims to be open and honest.

      Generally Venafi is a great company to work for with access to a portfolio of clients that is second to none. Management largely leave you alone to do what needs to be done

      Cons

      The HEART values are flawed, amazing idea but poorly managed by a leadership team that only want to hear the positives. Things could be so much better if constructive criticism could be handled in a progressive way, even self depricating feedback showing weakness should be seen as an opportunity to grow instead of everyone publicly chanting how great everything is. Nothing is perfect but could be so much better.

      A company with a real culture and team ethic.

      Venafi is a company that really invests in its people, there is plenty of training and mentoring to make you be as successful as possible in your role. Venafi's culture is real and is seen at all levels of the organisation. This culture focuses on a team ethic and as such builds very strong relationships with direct and in direct team members. It is therefore an extremely welcoming company and adult in the work ethic and the management. You will not be micro-managed unless it is needed your are given the power to make and influence decisions from the top down. Venafi prides itself on taking regular feedback from all employees and acts positively upon it. No one is out of reach and execs regularly reach to assist you in achieving your goals. Venafi has great leadership from regional managers to senior exec and visionaries that continue to develop a product that matches and exceeds the market expectations again and again.

      Cons

      It is hard but highly rewarding work. You are expected to work the hours needed to be successful and this can sometimes include weekend work but you will not be alone in this situation and the exec team are always available to assist. There is a lot of process and it can be frustrating particularly of you require an urgent response but again the entire team is readily available to provide assistance where needed. Venafi has very flat structure with very few levels of management this means in certain roles career progression is difficult.
