Pros
Excellent career progression opportunities (pro/con due to high staff turnover), great diversity throughout the company, flexible working hours and good holidays. Good personal development and learning & development opportunities. The only thing that's kept me here (for now) - the opportunity to promote a stunningly beautiful "product" - Scotland.
Cons
There is a constant sense of frustration throughout the company due to an absolute lack of management and decision making from senior level (heads of department & directors), with zero consideration for the people who will ultimately end up having to implement their bad or last-minute decisions. People aren't empowered to think creatively and take calculated risks in their job which leads to the same thing being done year after year despite the rest of the world having moved on 10 years ago. This creates a great sense of tension in the company and ultimately a lot of conflict within teams and between other teams for those people who want to do things differently and those who are afraid to. Extremely high staff turnover as people move around teams thinking the grass would be greener on the other side but then find out it's not and end up leaving. Staff are also overworked and underpaid. 3 month notice period makes it difficult to leave.
