Pros

Front line teams are all good people, trying their best. Mid level management are also all good people, however many are poor managers and cannot enable / help improve sales performance. Good AE's don't automatically make good managers! Salary and benefits are reasonable, however, compensation (commission and bonuses) are very poor. Work life balance is good

Cons

I don't have enough characters (or time) to type all of the cons. Would seriously avoid this company. For evidence, refer to 1) number of people across the board who have left (no one left due to poor performance) 2) share price compared to key competitors such as RingCentral, Twilio, NICE etc 3) talk to anyone who may have left the company recently.

Pros

Remote work is still a thing, benefits are on par with the rest of London's job market and not too many lay-offs, if that can be considered a pro.

Cons

Yet another textbook corporation granting unlimited discretionary time off, without the actual intention of ever approving extra days when employees actually needs them, regardless of how many times in the past someone took less time off during high profile migration projects and busy periods. Yearly pay rises have been under the inflation for several years and now, long-time employees are being forced to move out of London as it has become unaffordable. A company with "integrity" as its core values, pretending to give such benefits just so they can get away ignoring European employment regulations and employee's rights is really disgraceful.

Pros

Personally I am very happy with the benefits at Vonage. Base pay is good, good bonuses, company is still a remote first company for the majority of people. Flexibility is excellent. Team and management are great, Work itself can be interesting, Holiday allowance is very generous. I have always felt at Vonage I am a person and not another number.

Cons

For numerous reasons work can be very slow, releases can take days, and Jiras span sprint after sprint. Work is also often not enjoyable as it can be so varied you feel lost. As a developer I find work also often feels more like an IT role than a development one. Especially when it comes to incidents. Feels like a lot of issues come up and there is a lot of context switching. Red tape processes are getting worse, more meta work is constantly added. Bonuses are good but have reduced by a lot. Too many technologies mean you learn slowly and never feel you gain a strong level of mastery. So many areas mean simple tasks take a long time to understand. We are asked to select goals to work on - most of which are irrelevant on an individual level. They also feel much too large to do on top of your regular work. This lowers morale as it feels we are setting out to fail. On call work is a nightmare - almost always you will receive a call and it will probably be something you know little to nothing about. While I overall like my job - sometimes it's hard to look forward to a better future. I see very little career development and growth.
