Pros

People are friendly to your face.

Cons

Amateur leadership who lack pharma experience. Very much a tech bro boys club. Inexperienced CEO with no track record of success. Micromanagers. Lacks diversity. Highly political culture with fragile egos (Head of Sales and CEO especially).

Pros

VuMedi's growth has been extremely rapid over the past few years. There continues to be a lot of opportunity in the space. Workers are compensated fairly well and the people being hired are generally solid. The product is interesting and you get to learn quite a bit along the way.

Cons

No 401k match, equity options not available for all employees, very small raises company-wide in 2024 (despite record revenue growth), and the company's once enticing hybrid work model is being degraded from one day in office to three - MWF - (except for those hired away from hub sites). Simply, there is a 'do as I say but not as I do culture' being created by company leadership - which speaks volumes.

Frustrating, decisions are never made

Pros

The Education and Customer Success teams have strong leaders who are great mentors.

Cons

A totally directionless company. Ideas go to the CEO/founder to die. He never makes decisions so projects just founder for months on end. There are two sides to his leadership team: a group that's been there for years (and aren't in California) and experienced professionals hired when the business starts to take off who are either fired or quit within a year. He can't take any criticism and writes things off saying it's just a startup, but it's also a 15 year old company. If you interview there ask what the strategic direction of the company is and ask to hear about the execution of a big project. That'll give you your answer.
