Pros
Vynamic truly is a company that is guided by its founding purpose and values. It constantly strives to be the employer of choice for talented management consultants who want to be the best version of themselves while delivering impactful work to clients in the healthcare industry.
I've been with Vynamic since early 2010 and it's been an exciting journey of purposeful, steady growth (15-20% annually). We honestly probably could have grown a lot faster, but leadership was always intent on "growing for our people, not at the expense of our people". That means ensuring that we don't grow too fast to hold on to what made us special in the first place. There is a fundamental understanding that consulting is a people-driven business, and Vynamic has succeeded in always putting the people first. If you do that well, the rest falls into place.
One of the things that I think makes Vynamic unique is its compensation model, which aligns individual and company incentives by rewarding people at all levels for driving the business and remaining billable, but doesn't over-index on these sources of income (still has a strong base salary). It also has a favorable quarterly promotion process, where each individual is evaluated on their own merits and not competitively positioned against their peers. This creates a much more collaborative environment where everyone is much more interested in each other's success than you would see at a typical consulting firm. Combined, the comp model and promotion process contribute to a workplace where each consultant is free to define their own path and pursue the work that excites them most. You can deeply specialize, or be a generalist who constantly explores new challenges. You can focus on business development, or stay away from it completely. And what's right for you this year might not be right for you next year. We all have our own journey and Vynamic embraces that.
Cons
It's hard to find a con, because Vynamic is never afraid of making changes along the way in the constant pursuit of a "better way" to run the business. One thing that is sometimes challenging though is that demand for Vynamic services often outstrips supply of consultants which means that staffing projects can be constrained for people driving business development. The flipside of this though, is that it means there is often choice of projects for those being staffed.
