Pros

The people in the office are nice and friendly

Cons

The company has such a disorganised structure that it’s hard to know where you stand. There are so many blurred lines which mean that you end up taking on duties that aren’t what you signed up for and not included in the Job Description. The management is all over the place and more often than not, your manager will be based in a different location and sometimes in different time zones completely which also makes communication trickier. From my experience there are a number of people here who have been part of the company for many years and they are the ones that remain and the rest just come and go. I found the ones that have been there for a long time feel so secure that they feel they can unfairly treat the others who haven’t been part of ‘the original crew’. I think the company’s growth has also impacted the employees negatively because the people at the top are so overloaded with work on mergers and growth that their team members suffer due to not getting a decent amount of time and guidance from their managers. I found my workload incredibly inconsistent varying from having nothing to do to then everything to do in short space of time. I was also promised progression and opportunities to grow which were bulldozed and discouraged in practice. IT guys are great but generally you’re going to get a very slow solution to the issue as there just isn’t enough of them to help everyone. Salary was also not in line with national average - it was quite far under.
