I have been working at Wincanton full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

High rates of pay, Sociable working hours, friendly office atmosphere, Positive working environment.

    Cons

Mixed bag of Senior Managers, occasional lack of direction, blame culture. A culture of the validity of your points being based on your pay grade rather than on their own merit.

    Advice to Management

Deliver what is asked by senior management for a pain-free time. You will find that often what is being said is judged by the person who is saying it rather than the merit of what is actually being said.

I have been working at Wincanton full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

If there was one every driver on my contract wouldn't be job hunting elsewhere

    Cons

Pay is lousy and minimal pay rises both far below others in the area and management who see drivers more as a burden than a necessity to run the contract

    Advice to Management

Pay drivers a reasonable wage with reasonable pay rises or continue to lose drivers and struggle to recruit. Even agency drivers avoid us as they are paid more money on other jobs for a lot less work
