Pros

* World beating technology. From best in class RTOS, to virtualisation for IoT & CSPs to CPU simulation . . if you are an OS geek there really is no better company to work for. Deep expertise in our chosen markets. * Mature management processes. From DevSecOps to CMMi certification, Wind River delivers life critical software and has the internal processes to match. * Real focus on its employees. More than just buzzwords, a real effort is made to ensure work/life balance. Great benefits, flexible ways of working, very open to trying new ideas.

Cons

* Very few. Working in mission critical systems, there is unavoidable preasure to hit delivery commitments.

Pros

My 60 days experience at Wind River. I am surprised by the 30-60-90 onboarding program which WR is providing. Everything is very well structured with a very comprehensive resources and training sessions. I like a lot the team spirit and the attitude towards new hires. It makes you feel comfortable from the early interview stages. The company is well established on the market within its niche - embedded solutions but the marketing aspect is lacking a lot. [...] I like a lot the collaboration between the teams from different regions/territories which is vital in my opinion. It is an interesting and exciting experience in this industry. I recommend this place for people interested in working with the embedded solutions.

Cons

[...] Unfortunately, the lack of strong marketing tools and efforts to make the company known worldwide, makes it to lose a lot in front of its competitors. Also, there is a discrepancy between marketing department and sales department which makes the work sometimes to be a little bit difficult. In my opinion, if these two departments would unify their efforts, the company would achieve much better results in the end.
