Pros

Zerto had great market leading technology

Cons

I should have read these reviews, joining this company was a big mistake. CRO and his disciples have ruined Zerto in 18 months. They have been allowed to blunder away, setting strategies way outside software industry norms, while causing talent erosion with poor management. Solid employees are taking the fall whilst the CRO states he has learned from his mistakes. This was a great market disruptive solution, but lack of development and inability to listen to customers or see market transitions means competition has caught up and are commoditising the space providing as good or a better solution for a fraction of the cost. Think that’s bad, in EMEA we have a new Trumpian leader who thinks he is a data scientist, an accountant in charge of sales! Culture and motivation is at an all-time low, there is an atmosphere of fear and confusion, as like Trump, the story and requirements of the worker bees change daily. There are mood swings, cannot control his anger and takes it out on the employees when he does not get his way and his ego is clearly the paramount concern. Trump Baby is happily forcing outdated draconian processes on sales that do not fit the go to market. Sales spend more time filling out plans to entertain him than they do building relationships with customers. If you go against Baby, then you are ousted speedily, or he will literally cry openly in the office to get people to forgive his anger issues …..Boo Hoo. In a short tenure, Baby already had to apologise many times. Tells people sorry, that is my weakness. If you know your weaknesses, work on it, do not use it as an excuse to blindly continue this awful behaviour. EMEA is now diminished to a very sad and uncomfortable place. Look at the drop of ratings here on Glassdoor, biggest drop from May 2019 !!! But EMEA HR just sits back and lets it all happen. Lovely professional sales people; if you have flair and integrity this is not the company to be in. Zerto have decided that Sales happens if you just deploy enough plans and process. Close plans, win plans, territory plans, mutual agreed plans, business plans etc. etc you name it they use it. Forget about the customers or resellers they have no say. If your prospect does not want to sign your mutually agreed plan you must divorce this prospect. If you like all of this and want to spend 80% of your time for fulling the executive need for paper process, this is the place to be.

Pros

Used to be a great place to work, the product is good, has sold well in the past and could still be a nice job.

Cons

I am so unhappy working in the UK office. Each day its a struggle to get up and go in as I know what I will have to put up with. The office is empty, no-one who is not office based comes in anymore, and the people who are go regular sick or work from home just to avoid the new EMEA boss as its soul destroying being here. Most of the bosses and people who had a personnality have either left because of, or been fired by him. Only a year ago, Zerto EMEA was such a different place to work, everyone working together, culture was brilliant, you felt like you were part of something, we had energy, we had fun, we were appreciated. Now it feels like we are innmates isolated at Alcatraz. Nowadays, you get shouted at if there is any energy/noise one day, the next you are told its too quiet. I don’t know how to behave anymore. No one is respected, you are put down, told off and then any protest is ignored. All the bosses I trusted and could turn to have been fired, leaving the boss who could not give a hoot about us and is hardly ever there, so I have no-one to turn to. When he is there, he hides in his office, sometimes sneaking out to spy on what we are doing, he will shake your hand to try to show that he does connect with us, but its so creepy and false that to be honest, as a female, it makes my skin crawl and makes me feel dirty. He prowls around telling us how great he is, doesn’t listen, shouts, fakes nice behaviour and sucks up to anyone who visits from the US, but then back to a miserable troll when they leave. Admin admin admin, fill in excel sheets, despite the fact you have already done that work in Salesforce, its so stupid ! I am under heavy pressure to hit, but help is rudely refused in a way that makes me feel like I am the problem. If you ask him to do something for you, it either gets reflekted back at you or just gets ignored. I see no evidence that he ever does any work himself. Its so sad.

Pros

Good facilities and company looks after staff well with fun social activities, good kick offs and decent packages and benefits.

Cons

I really don’t like the new management culture here, we used to be a great team and live the culture in the office every day, the atmosphere was work hard, play hard and everyone contributed their share of effort. It was hard work, but also an enjoyable place to be, it was an environment that we worked very hard in the past to build. Now, there seems to be a vacuum of facts, we have a dictatorial leader here in EMEA , who does not have the true emotional buy in of the staff. Its like its all make believe. Staff do what they are told, don’t contribute ideas, innovation or put their heart and soul into the company, because they are afraid of the repercussions and the ridiculing from this leader. Everyone seems to be acting, in order just to keep their job out of fear. There is no trust, it makes me angry that such a great little business is now such a hollow entity. I see sales people just going through motions that don’t make sense to them, I see marketing people, who are normally the life a soul, subdued. His practises are not adopted, he indoctrinates them, but the worst of it is he delegates their implementation to others to do his dirty work, in fact his work in general We have lost excellent employees with badly needed skills, not because they could not be successful, but because they just don’t like working in this environment and don’t like having to act in a way that is not aligned to their morals. We also need to do better in hiring, as presently the autocratic and patronising way this leader presents himself and the company is not helping to hire new great people.
