Pros

I’m 30 days in and of course the process of starting a new job is overwhelming. But every single person I speak to has been so helpful and supportive as I get acclimated. Even the behind the scenes teamwork is so supportive for the customers. Just a refreshing business to be a part of.

Cons

There is a lot of information given at first, but it is organized in a way that you can always refer vs k to when needed.

Pros

The only "pro" to this job is that you are working remotely so you can work from home. Beyond that, I'm not really seeing anything.

Cons

This is my first project. After 2 weeks of working very hard to clear a ton of backlogged claims from the previous month as well as starting to clear over $100k of pending claims, I received my first "paycheck" - a whopping total of $109.68 that would be split into two payments over the month. I reached out to both HR and my Team Leader with eAssist. Each of them told me to work with the other. So, basically I went from making $30/hr working for a physical office to about $5/hr working with eAssist.

Thank-you for taking the time to give a review on Glassdoor of your work experience with eAssist; we appreciate the feedback from our workers whether they are employees or independent contractors such as yourself. As you know working from home is a huge plus for the hundreds of people that work with us and they save money on gasoline, clothes, lunches and childcare expenses along with being able to spend more quality time with their children and family. Many have told us that they make more with eAssist than they ever did in a regular weekly job in a dental office. When a dental office signs up they usually need us to do some major clean-up of back-logged claims and an overhaul of their insurance billing system. After this period the office goes into a maintenance mode and is much easier to manage. Reimbursement will not be immediate but after the work & time has been put in & allowing for insurances to process those claims. Sometimes it takes a month or two to see the fruits of your labor, not the first check. Building your home-based business takes time and it will not be in the black immediately. As an Account Manager you are an independent contractor and are paid a commission on insurance collections. Depending on when you start working on an office will determine your payment plus how much is collected for the office during the same period of time. Perhaps you should give it more time to see the opportunity to make more money and based on your performance and dedication be given additional responsibilities and higher pay.

Account Manager

Pros

Remote work environment is convenient and unmatched.

Cons

Very recently, the company changed their pay structure and added inefficient requirements to this role. There are too many people between the owner/upper management and the Account Managers, which creates an environment filled with too many leaders and not enough followers. Independent Contractor positions (no healthcare or benefits or time off). Prior to fall 2018, the pay was worth sticking around. After 3 years with this company, their focus has shifted and they no longer care about their Account Managers or the actual work they are doing. The majority of the company (including IT) is on PST, which can be frustrating for those working in another time zone. Even though you work PT, many co-workers and offices want you to be available FT. You are still required to complete daily reports even if you do not work.
