Pros
Hired some great people - always willing to collaborate and achieve. Chance to try out new things.
Cons
Said people were squashed at pretty much every turn. Owner puts people under immense pressure with an unclear, ever changing ‘strategy' (aka JTBD lists, which contradict what’s just been done). The whole business operates in constant panic mode. Staff treated appallingly, despite solid HR efforts to change culture. Pattern of recycling the entire marketing team every year or so. In my time there, all but one of the exec team left. 20% of the company let go in 2021. Then, less than a year later, they want to hire 150 people. Makes little sense. None of this is a coincidence. It comes from the very top.
