Pros

Fast-paced, lots of autonomy, business class airfare, located across the street from Taco Bell.

Cons

Lack of leadership and values. When I reported racism to management, I was told that I need to work with people who have different views than me. My boss was a co-founder and had every authority to stand up for me and his company, but did not. HR got involved, only to take the same stance - none. No comment from the CEO. The one time I tried to encourage a fellow female colleague, I was met with fierce opposition. I pointed out we did not hold the same standard when proactively providing opportunities for men and was instantly siloed as making it a "women's issue" and met with "not all men" arguments all the while having to listen to generalized comments about women. The mission is pure proliferation and revenue, nothing I could really stand behind and sacrifice my personal morals on a daily basis for. I normally don't write reviews, but feel I should give a fair heads up to my fellow Asian women in tech.

Pros

Pros: - Positive Work Environment: Stereotypical startup frat behavior discouraged. - Culture: They strived to build a community environment. - Coworkers: teams were supportive, helpful, and generally mature. - Unlimited PTO: Loose tracking of time off. Feel a slight cough coming on? Take the rest of the week off and work from home. - Internship Opportunities: priority given to Stanford students. Some interns were eventually hired full time.

Cons

Cons: - Lack of Diversity: it was very obvious, but leadership denied there was an issue. Women were restricted to narrow roles, and people of color non-existant with no plans for it to change. - No Transparency: Large layoff was unexpected with no explanation. All Hands wasn't very informative or reassuring. - Lack of Advancement within The Company: Senior roles seemed to go to new hires from ivy league schools rather than current employees. - High Turnover: core people left at an alarming rate. This changed the work environment and feel of the office a lot.

Pros

-People (non senior leadership) -Benefits -Office -Building something people use everyday

Cons

-Poor management (mostly due to the lack of experience) -Lack of diversity at the top -Hired great people, but the lack of long term vision caused the teams to flounder versus a company marching to the beat of same drum. -Hubris among the executive team -Lack of defined values internally, they were written on a chalk board, but were not ingrained in the actual company culture.
