I have been working at iwoca full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Fully geared up for remote working. Great induction and onboarding, people are very welcoming across all levels. iwoca value the team feel very highly. Lots of effort and money has gone into building the team and making people feel comfortable at work. There is also a huge growth culture. Expect to develop quickly here. Most positions pay well and they are not shy in rewarding high performers.

    Cons

Not a con but staff here are extremely competent. It's clear that its a bit sink or swim and there are no hiding places but the majority of people here are swimming really well. 40 hour contract is standard.

I worked at iwoca full-time for more than a year

    Pros

breakfast ingredients in the morning, some people are nice

    Cons

damaged office facilities, chairs from second hand, uncomfortable desks that caused back pain, poor career progression opportunity, for Account Manager it is like call centre job, lack of support for new starters, average salary, you are expected to work overtime for free

I worked at iwoca full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    • Amazing people • Learned a lot in a short space of time • Autonomy to pursue projects how you see them • Interesting and exciting topic matter, B2B finance is a challenge • Decent perks such as food, beer, trips away etc. • Lovely place as a whole and do recommend going there, especially for the learning.

    Cons

    • Frugality. Hard to make an impact when projects are cancelled because they incur a modest amount of spend. • This attitude translates into pay and career progression. Very hard going getting a pay rise. The phrase " you're at/above the market rate" used quite a lot, irrespective of tenure or ability. •Lots of young people in management roles and lots of shiny objects chased after, hard to maintain focus and keep resources on track.

I have been working at iwoca full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Challenging, rewarding and busy, Grounded company that will interrogate your positions to make sure that you deliver. People focused company, HR invest a lot of time and money in their staff and it shows. Not afraid to have a debate if something isn’t right.

    Cons

Too much speculation about what lies ahead sometimes, which can be very vague/unrealistic. Tech team can make big decisions on behalf of the wider operations without the experience/knowledge to do so. Can feel like you’re spent tidying up the unacknowledged repercussions of this whilst they’re applauded for speed
