Pros

Good tech stack, mobile, web, backend kotlin, kubernetes. Strong engineers. Office location is central enough, near Pearse St train station. Little or no working late/weekends/on-call

Cons

When I joined I was assured "only 2 days per quarter in the office for planning". Within a year, this interview assurance was changed to 1 day a week, then pushing for 2 days a week. They only had 2 days of sick leave a year, which legislation has forced them to improve. They had a bad round of redundancies in 2023 - laying off practically the entire product management team, a performance engineer who recently started, forcing 4 engineering managers to interview for 2 positions and letting go offshore contractors. They were always completely opaque about the company finances and I still don't get why an Irish company isn't applying for Enterprise Ireland grants for new development. The C-level members seem inexperienced at best. It's still an 8 year old "start-up", which means a failure to scale up. The CTO codes a lot, rates developers by metrics like lines of code committed and they push tech debt to a committee of volunteer developers. There's two offices in Ireland, Dublin for the I.T. staff and Limerick for the pharma trained staff. No C-level staff are based in Dublin.
