Pros

If you suffer through the lies, back-stabbing, degrading, morale crushing environment long enough, you'll gain enough power to do whatever you want with no fear of repercussion, other than never seeing a pay raise. Some of the general co-workers/teammates are legitimate good people and you can benefit from each other's knowledge.

Cons

If you're male & white, you have moderate chance of succeeding. Not in that category? You'll be held back, cast lower than everyone else, and eventually forced out of the company. Company fears evolution and upgrades in areas of technology, development, and efficiency, Have an idea to help? Great! Throw it in the trash. Customer-first mindset is not appreciated. Spend extra time to make something right will get you reprimanded days/weeks/months later. Job titles and roles will change on a whim and lack any sort of clarity and expectations. Staff size continues to shrink and stress goes up. Replacements are not a priority, and those that are brought in are unqualified and only strain resources further. Don't think for a minute that any of this is an exaggeration. It is not and is only a fraction of the disgusting realities. Are you thinking of applying for a job here? Stop. Stop right now.

Pros

Good on a resume. A good in between job

Cons

They continue to bill customers for services they have no one working on. Both design and marketing. It is stealing and they have been doing it for years. Had to quit because the owner Rob Wenz and President Eric Kinsey didn’t like me bringing it up. They should notify the client that the person managing your project is no longer with the company and no one is doing the work. Not continuing to take a check every month. The owner and President are fully aware of it. The HR person doesn’t do her job. She is now co-owner of the company. Interesting. It is depressing and those that have been there since the beginning want it that way. Half the design team are stoners that stink up the office. Nothing is done about that. It’s favoritism that looks childish and implodes upon itself. The new owners went into debt expecting employees to work with no raise until they get out of debt without discussing it with anyone but themselves. Shows the future outlook of how they will handle the business. There is one employee who’s job was to google things for the owner and talk in his office for 4 hours. His pay should be re-evaluated now and raises givin appropriately to those that actually make you money.

Choking

Pros

The company is in a great place to make serious improvements to the bottom line over the next 3-5 years, provided each department lead can realize their visions.

Cons

Without delegation of power to the appropriate department heads, all decisions must go through the owner, who is not up to speed. Bringing the owner up to speed concerning topics outside of his expertise can be extremely difficult and demoralizing. Bringing the owner in like this also leads to micro-managing on every level. Despite retiring and being ill, the owner is determined to hang on like his life depends on it. Unfortunately the result of the owner's input is nothing but chaos, lost morale, lost productivity, and lost money. Many of the problems caused by the owner don't need to be an issue if handled tactfully and with patience.
