At Anchor, we believe in the power of diversity and inclusion, giving everyone opportunity to thrive. We also know the more diverse our colleague base, the more value we can provide to our residents and the wider community. We’re delighted to share some of these highlights: · 86% of our team feels respected for their individual differences. · 84% see positive progress in creating an inclusive workplace. We’re committed to fostering growth, celebrating difference, and embracing all identities – as a colleague or a resident. Anchor are proud to be pledged to the Armed Forces Covenant, aiming to support serving personnel, service leavers, veterans and their families in employment. We have several ex-military colleagues within Anchor who all display the transferrable skills we look for in many of our opportunities, particularly within our Housing Location Manager roles. Skills such as resilience, problem solving and working directly with people from diverse of backgrounds. If you know of anyone who is looking for a new career after service, please direct them anchor.org.uk/careers. We have opportunities up and down the country.
We offer people jobs who are really aligned with our values, and we find that the best way to attract more like-minded people is through the connections of those of already work for us. That’s why we have an established Refer a Friend scheme for our Anchor colleagues. You can refer someone to work anywhere in the organisation, not just in the same team or location as you, and there’s no limit on how many people you can refer either. As Anchor gains a new member of the team who comes recommended by you, and you receive £100 once they start work and another £150 after they’ve been with us three months. Refer a Friend today - it pays to work with friends and, as an organisation, we benefit too!
Providing people with opportunities is something we pride ourselves on at Anchor, whether you’re entering work for the first time, trying a new career or simply haven’t worked at a inclusive place to work before. Our commitment to diversity and inclusion combined with our passion for professional and personal development means we’re in a position to really support our colleagues achieve their goals. Take Luke for example, Luke is a Trainee Assistant Account at Anchor who found us by doing a supported internship that helps neurodivergent people develop skills and confidence in their chosen career.
