Over the weekend, the CODE Team had an unforgettable time performing the hand jive and singing 'You're The One That I Want' at the Grease Secret Cinema Live Experience. It was a night to remember! The team dressed up in character, became part of the story and lived out the high school experience at Rydell High. We realised that sometimes, the best way to strengthen team bonds is by breaking away from our daily routines and immersing ourselves into an extraordinary adventure. The experience allowed us to do that and it's safe to say, we made the most of it. #GreaseSecretCinema is the word!

Team work is central to the success here at CODE and with Covid restrictions easing, we are moving towards more of our in person team building events. Recently our entire Leicester & Coventry teams met up at Escape Leicester to take on 4 of the toughest escape rooms to test their problem solving skills. The evening was then topped off with a trip to a local restaurant; Casa Romana, where the team were treated to a meal on behalf of CODE as a thank you for all their hard work.
We're delighted to have been shortlisted for the best "Student Accommodation Operator" in the RESI Awards 2021, especially after such a tough year for many sectors. The RESI Awards, organised by Property Week, recognise the residential property sector and its successes. The awards bring together the key players in the residential market including leading developers, landlords, house builders, operators, investors, agencies and local authorities. Our Directors used the announcement as an opportunity to say a special thank you to all our staff for their unwavering customer care and dedication. The Awards will be judged on 1st December 2021.
As part of our commitment to share our training and development expertise, we recently welcomed Noah; a work experience student from Oakham School to our Head office in Leicester. Noah expressed a keen interest in Accounts and Marketing and his time was split equally between the 2 departments. During his work experience Noah showed a particular interest in how payments were processed through our online portals and also how the marketing team used the website to secure new business. The Accounts and Marketing team commented on how Noah attentively listened and concisely followed instruction. On his final day, Noah commented “I have had a very educating time at CODE as well as an enjoyable one. I am very grateful for this experience and all the skills I have learnt. The people at CODE are so friendly and very welcoming so it didn't take long for me to feel comfortable and to begin learning. Thank you” The entire CODE team wish Noah all the very best for his next steps in academia and his career.

The roadmap out of #lockdown has meant the CODE team have had to navigate lots of hurdles to continue to provide the high level of care, attention and #service to our students. As such, it was only right that when restrictions were lifted we were able to #reward our staff with a Covid-safe social night. The head office, CODE Leicester and CODE Coventry teams were all invited to let their hair down at the ABBA vs Queen sit down social at Athena, Leicester. The night was enjoyed by all and proved to be the perfect opportunity for the teams to socialise out of work time and not on zoom! The team are really looking forward to the next team social event. Thank you to Rockstar Promotions for putting on such an amazing night, it was lovely to see the entertainment industry bringing the buzz back to Leicester
