In 2015, we made a promise - for every meal we served, we'd donate a meal to a child. A meal for a meal. This year, we reached the milestone of donating over 10 million meals to children in the UK and India who might otherwise go hungry. Bhawani Singh Shekhawat, CEO and Trustee at Akshaya Patra (and our very dear friend), has kindly taken the time to share his reflections on the important work of The Akshaya Patra Foundation UK and the impact of the past twelve months.

Sunday, twenty-four Dishoom-wallas embarked on the ‘Bombay Bootcamp’ — a five-day tour of all the places in Bombay with which we're deeply in love. Together we’ll explore and visit remaining Irani cafés, endless street food stalls and market gullies. Expect us to return heavier, but no doubt happier.

Our Dishoom Manchester team have been busy training with our London-wallas and it's been such a pleasure having them with us! They are top bunch (some of the best in the business) and we're sad to say goodbye (even if it's just for a little while). See you in a few weeks, friends! WE'RE SO EXCITED!
We're always looking at cool things we can do for our team. With some keen cricketers in our midst, we decided to start planning our very own 'Dishoom Premier League' at Lords – it's been awesome! We never want it to end.
