Today, we were proud to open the market at the London Stock Exchange and officially kick off Greencore’s 100-year celebrations. 🎉🎉 This moment marks a milestone that very few companies achieve, and reflects a century of evolution, resilience and growth, from our beginnings in 1926 to the business we are today. Now 28,000 colleagues strong, Greencore has been shaped by many stories: the businesses that have come together, the partnerships we’ve built, the products we’ve created, and the people who make it all possible. As we celebrate this centenary year, we’re not just looking back, we’re looking ahead… and we’re just getting started! 🚀
Aldi’s Chilled Bay Takeover Brings a Taste of Italy to UK Shoppers Aldi has gone all-in on Italy this summer with a major Chilled Bay Takeover, transforming the fixture with a broad range of Italian-inspired meals, sides and desserts. Landing in stores from 4th June, the new Italian Dine In range combines familiar favourites such as Spaghetti Carbonara, Chicken Alfredo and Beef & Pancetta Lasagne with more adventurous regional dishes including Calabrian ’Nduja Mafaldine and Beef Shin Ragu Maniche. What stands out is the scale of the launch. Rather than introducing a handful of seasonal specials, Aldi has created a genuine destination in the chilled aisle, offering shoppers the opportunity to build a complete Italian-inspired meal occasion at home. For me, this is exactly what a successful chilled category activation should look like — strong theatre, authentic flavour inspiration, and a balance between comfort-food classics and products that encourage customers to try something new. As retailers continue to look for ways to create excitement in store, Aldi’s Italian Takeover is a great example of how a themed Chilled Bay Takeover can refresh a category and drive shopper engagement. Buon appetito, Aldi.
We’re proud that our CEO, Dalton Philips, was invited to deliver a keynote address at IGD’s Feeding Britain’s Future relaunch this week at County Hall, London. This important industry initiative brings together leaders from across food, drink and government to tackle the growing number of young people not in education, employment or training - and to build a skilled, future-ready workforce. In his speech, Dalton shared Greencore’s perspective on purposeful leadership, highlighting the role businesses must play in creating clearer pathways into our industry and ensuring opportunities are visible and accessible to young people. As a founding supporter of Feeding Britain’s Future, we remain committed to opening doors, telling our stories, and helping the next generation discover the breadth of careers in food.

Thanks to donated items, a tombola, a pop‑up pantry and some amazing homemade cakes, our team in Warrington raised over £900, which went towards buying an electric bike for a long-serving colleague who is recovering from cancer. He’s cycled countless miles over the years, and this will make his commute much easier going forward.
Our Boston site has successfully completed a full refrigeration system upgrade, replacing an outdated set‑up with a state‑of‑the‑art solution. This investment is more than an equipment refresh - it’s a meaningful step toward a greener, more efficient future. The new system: - Reduces the site’s carbon footprint - Lowers water usage -Future‑proofs our operations to support continued growth A huge thank‑you to everyone involved in delivering this project safely and successfully. It’s another great example of how we’re investing in our sites, our people, and a more sustainable future.
We were proud to welcome His Majesty The King to Greencore Warrington today, where he saw first‑hand how our teams are driving innovation to tackle food waste. His Majesty viewed examples of the one million fresh, high-quality meals we’ve donated through the Coronation Food Project and met our engineering apprentices - the next generation helping build a more sustainable food system. Our CEO Dalton Philips said: “It was a privilege to welcome The King and showcase just how dynamic and forward‑thinking the food industry can be.”
