💚 Welcome to 'Devana', our 2nd Centre for Nature Recovery 💚 We are bringing nature to Cambridgeshire at the Devana Centre for Environmental Recovery. Our works at Devana are officially underway, bringing nature back to 100 acres by creating new habitat banks and enhancing existing features such as woodland, field margins, and hedges. The new habitats include: 🌼 43 acres of species-rich grassland and 29 acres of mixed scrub to boost the populations of pollinators 🌳 17 acres of native broadleaf woodland and 1.3km of native hedgerow that act as a home for wildlife and connect ecosystems 🍏 2.5 acres of traditional orchard to offer food and shelter for nature 🦎 8 wildlife ponds as a refuge for key species and replace valuable, lost freshwater habitats To continue these works, and expand our nature recovery sites, 207 Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) Units are available to purchase at Devana for developers looking for off-site solutions to achieve their 10% net gain. We're Opening In Ireland 💚 Our new Irish operations will be headquartered out of Dublin, with a second office in Belfast, and, in addition, we will be recruiting for new roles and field team partnerships across the island of Ireland in 2024. So far this year, we have secured more than €2 million in Irish-based contracts. We look forward to working with local contractors and micro-businesses to deliver a sustainability-led product offering and one that supports public- and private-sector clients on their decarbonisation journeys.
