We’re investing in increased media support over the coming months to drive awareness of key ‘Better for You’ brands popchips and Hula Hoop Puft. Both popchips and Hula Hoops Puft are 'permissible' snacks as they're non-HFSS compliant (not high in fat, sugar and salt) across their entire ranges. These two key KP Snacks brands are also high performers in the Healthier Snacking segment, which is growing at +22.3% a year. popchips is the number one “Better for You” brand in the 'Sharing' snacks category and the latest campaign will feature across Out of Home and social media channels. By keeping popchips front of mind for shoppers, we aim to bolster sales for retailers and maintain the strong momentum behind the popchips brand. We also continue to drive Hula Hoops Puft with consumer and shopper activity in 2024, spotlighting the range’s flavour credentials and low-calorie offering. At just 72 calories per pack, Hula Hoops Puft is one of the top 10 best-selling “Better for You” multi-packs. (Do try our new flavour, Cheese & Onion!) #betterforyou #snacking #healthierchoices #brandbuilding
Earlier this month we held our annual KP Snacks Grower Day at Harper Adams University where we share progress and plans with our UK potato growers. We want to support our suppliers to implement the best and most sustainable agricultural practices, and work together towards our People & Planet commitments to the environment. This year we launched the Intersnack Sustainable Agriculture Programme, which showcases our future ambitions and investment for a sustainable potato supply chain. A special thanks goes to our colleagues at Harper Adams, who shared their insights, focusing on pest and fertiliser management in the field. We also celebrated the KP Snacks Grower of the Year Awards and huge congratulations go to our McCoy’s winner Rob Gray of JF and BM Gray and our Tyrrells winner, Henry Chinn from Cobrey Farms. Well done to the winners and thank you to everyone involved! #sustainableagriculture #partnership #potatofarming
We are so proud that The Hundred and KP Snacks Community Pitches Project has been shortlisted for Sport Industry Group 2024 Purpose Driven Sponsorship Award! Together with England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) we're building 100 new cricket pitches in underserved communities to help spark a passion for cricket and get more people active across the UK. Well done to everyone in the team at KP Snacks, England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and CSM Sport & Entertainment...and fingers crossed for the big night...
We're working hard to reach our targets to reduce packaging and are pleased to announce another major step forward this year as we cut a further 100 tonnes of plastic packaging film on Roysters, Frisps and Discos. A process change has allowed us to reduce the plastic packaging on 6 packs of these popular brands by 35%, equivalent to a saving of 100 tonnes of packaging a year. While not affecting pack contents, the minimisation of packaging also means each pack takes less space and more products can be transported at once, cutting an estimated 620 lorry journeys a year and so also reducing greenhouse gas emissions from distribution. Just one more step on our continuing People & Planet journey to use as little plastic packaging as possible. #closingtheloop #investinginthefuture #plasticwastemanagement
