Our people work hard to create a safe working environment at Morgan. Our Taiwan team recently reached an impressive 6000 days with no lost time injuries. This achievement was made possible by the team's positive and proactive approach to safety.
Creating a working environment where our people feel comfortable to bring their true, authentic selves to work is an important part of creating an inclusive culture. Our Employee Resource Groups, or ERGs, are an important part of building this culture at Morgan. With three ERGs currently up and running across the Group; Women@Morgan, PRISM and Military@Morgan; there is plenty of space for other ERGs to develop. At our Berkatal, Germany, site; not only do the team have access to a bicycle leasing scheme designed to improve health and reduce carbon footprint of commuting to work; the team also recently installed a new bicycle storage facility too. Ahead of the traditional Chinese Dragon Boat Festival, our Shanghai team held an event focused on preparing for this important holiday together. The team spent a meaningful day, preparing to welcome the festival with traditional customs; from a rice dumpling making competition to, DIY crafts, and indoor archery playgrounds. Great to see our people taking part together, getting to know each other and working as a team.
Personal safety is an important part of our thinkSAFE approach and journey to 'zero harm' at Morgan. Our Berkatal team recently conducted a safety session focused on strengthening the health and motivation of employees, with the help of a dedicated physiotherapist. The session was focused on targeted measures to reduce the physical stress and demands of day-to-day tasks; along with some guidance on taking active lunch breaks with office colleagues too. Great to see the team prioritising their safety and wellbeing.
