At Morgan manufacturing products to build a sustainable future is what drives us. Our products are used in everyday life and we want to show you how our people work together to innovate for the future. Take a look at our Budapest site's brand new video, raising awareness of what we do at Morgan 👇🏼.
Pushing the boundaries is what we do at Morgan. We innovate to grow and to thrive. Our Thermal Ceramics team has used their extensive materials expertise to produce a low biopersistent fibre - Superwool Prime. A fibre which has low biopersistence is more likely to be expelled or 'broken down'. Superwool Prime is used in applications ranging from power generation to ceramic kilns, and petrochemical processes. The result is energy savings, improved application efficiency and reduced emissions for our customers. We pride ourselves on differentiated solutions which directly benefit our customers and reduce environmental impact. We are supporting World Kindness Day! Being kind is important not only today but every day. Our people are always giving back to their communities and we have many shining examples: ♥ Our Saint Marcellin team who welcomed students from the Lyon CESI engineers’ school to complete practice internal audits on site. ♥ Our Group Financial Systems Manager David, who dedicates his energies to the Scouts, showing decades of commitment and his passion as an example for the next generation. ♥ Our Senior Sales Engineer Tim, who decided to sign up to support the RNLI with a regular donation and supports their raffle and fundraising efforts too. Show your support and help to spread a little kindness today.
Our materials expertise enables advances in the digital world. Our Technical Ceramics business produces critical CVD silicon carbide components for the growing semiconductor market. We support semiconductor manufacturers in optimising their processes, maximising their yield, and reducing their total production costs. Our world-class design expertise and specialist manufacturing capabilities make us the perfect partner. Find out more about our semiconductor processing ability.
It may surprise you to know that our innovation began all the way back in 1856. Since then, through 166 years of industrial history, the global company has continued to grow, change and adapt. But our focus remains where it started; offering reliable solutions to technical challenges and helping our customers achieve their goals, no matter how difficult. https://www.morganadvancedmaterials.com/en-gb/our-company/our-history/
Our Molten Metals System (MMS) business is the foundation of Morgan. Did you know that we've been producing high-performance crucibles for 166 years! After more than a century, we still offer an extensive ranges of crucibles, backed up by the leading technological designs and materials. This makes us the partner of choice in applications from non-ferrous castings in the rail market, to brass castings for the construction industry. Learn more about our solutions know-how in our article on matching your crucible to your application: https://www.morganmms.com/en-gb/resources/technical-articles/matching-your-crucible-to-your-application/ Together we can maximise your molten metals processes.
📈 Innovate To Grow 📈 Our customers have an increasing need to reduce their energy consumption and CO2e emissions. This priority supports our focus on working to innovate in traditional heavy industries whilst contributing to greener technologies. Learn more about how we're executing our strategy on our website.
Our people make a big positive difference! For example - take a look at the work of our Stourport team; supporting a local primary school with the design and build of a unique eco-friendly learning windmill! Built by pupils under the guidance of Thrive and Alternative Curriculum leader Michelle Moseley and site manager Andy Williams, who helped them measure, buy and build the structure. The windmill features a winding handle for pupils to turn the sails. A “teach to read” clock on the side of the will be powered by a solar panel installed by STEM ambassadors - electrical engineer Karl Pedley and design engineer Tim Tranter from Morgan Advanced Materials. St Bartholomew’s CE Primary School head teacher Ian James commented; “The windmill is a fantastic aid to learning – design and build, how to make the sails turn, how solar power works and the importance of renewable energy, plus helping our youngest children learn to tell the time. “We are indebted to Morgan’s staff for their work on this and the upcoming water rockets project, bringing science to life for our pupils. I know it

It's not just our Thermal business that supports the growth of the innovative electric vehicle (EV) market, the carbon and ceramics bearings produced by our Seals and Bearings business, are a critical component in electric cooling pumps. Thermal management in modern vehicles is an important part of reducing global emissions, to ensure a cleaner, greener environment for everyone. An active component of this thermal management in EVs is the electric cooling pump. This pump helps to increase the lifespan and efficiency of a vehicle, by ensuring optimal working conditions for the battery to thrive. Today, many EV manufacturers are successfully using our state-of-the-art carbon bearing grades, able to satisfy severe automotive standards, ensuring excellent wear properties and a longer service life for vehicles. Find out how our bearings make a difference.
