This July our Kaohsiung, Taiwan team celebrated the 36th anniversary of the site opening. Taking the opportunity to engage in a fun and healthy activity, which was suitable for all the family too, the team hiked the Taiping suspension bridge in central Taiwan. It's great to see the team enjoying a fun day out together in nature!

At Morgan, we believe it is important to help raise awareness and support the causes our people care about the most. There are lots of ways that our people get involved: - Giving up their time and sharing their knowledge and experiences on a charity board - Undertaking fundraising activities - By selling or donating pre-loved items - Volunteering If you’d like to get more involved find out more and visit: https://spana.org/blog/fundraising-ideas-for-the-international-day-of-charity/
Our people give back to their local communities by supporting education too. This July our Saint Marcellin plant welcomed students from the Lyon CESI engineers school, to complete practice internal audits on the site. The six students who visited the site spent the day applying their audit knowledge to real-life situations, and learning alongside the Morgan team. The collaboration, managed by our EHS apprentice Nelly, was a great success; strengthening the development partnership between Morgan and the CESI engineers school.

No action is too small when it comes to keeping our people safe. Here are a few of the changes our sites have implemented to keep their people safe and work towards zero harm across Morgan: ♥️ In Shanghai, China, many of our people commute to work by e-bike. In order to improve the visibility of our people on the road, each employee has been given a fluorescent armband and reflective strip to attach to the their e-bike ♥️ At our Thouarcé site, France, the team have completed their thinkSAFE refresh training, resulting in an increase in near-miss reporting of approximately 25%. This shows the focus that the team members are placing on spotting and reporting hazards ♥️ In Suzhou, China, the team have been focused on keeping safe in the very hot temperatures. From providing cooling foods and drinks, to heatstroke first aid, the team are focused on keeping people cool and healthy #Safety #thinkSAFE #ZeroHarm
As our teams strive for safety excellence, we love to see them celebrating their safety milestones. Our Korea Seals and Bearings site recently marked an impressive 2,000 lost time accident free days. Using the occasion to come together across the site and celebrate, they held an award ceremony on site too; recognising the person who reported the most 'Don't Walk By' incidents and the person who suggested the most safety improvements across the site. A great way to recognise the efforts of the team, while focusing on even more ways to ensure 'zero harm' across their site!
