We're proud of the times that our people step forward to support the causes that matter most to them. People like our Senior Sales Engineer, Tim. Tim's charity inspiration struck when he was enjoying a family holiday on the English coast. Noticing the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) getting on with their important work, whilst enjoying a hot chocolate on the beach, Tim struck up a conversation with the team and realised that they run on donations and the voluntary commitment of many people to keep going. It was then that Time decided to sign up to support the RNLI with a regular donation, which has since developed into supporting their raffle and fundraising efforts too. A great commitment to a charity which is entirely publicly funded!
Our recent half year financial results look back at our performance in the first half of 2022 but gives us the opportunity to look ahead too. While the outlook is more challenging, with market conditions, inflation and COVID-19 still impacting, we are well placed to successfully navigate a more difficult trading period. Across the Group HR team this July we’ve been trying out a new app called 'Treekly' that we just love. For every week where you walk 5000 steps a day for more than four days, Treekly plants a new tree in one of their reforestation projects. We’ve had lots of fun with the app and have even turned it into a bit of a competition. Together we’ve managed to plant 32 trees.... so far! Our CEO, Pete Raby, and CFO, Richard Armitage, released our half year results to the stock market last week, with updates on our progress in reaching our diversity and inclusion goals being a key focus. In the first half of 2022, we have made an improvement on the diversity of our leadership population; from 29% to 31% and we are making good progress on an array of positive changes; from recruitment policy changes to employee resource groups, we are seeing positive cultural change across our business.
