Morgan employees strive to make a difference in their roles at Morgan and in their local communities. Several of our employees give up their free time to support causes close to their hearts. Group Communications Content Manager, Abi, is a Board member of a Manchester based not-for-profit project, Visit from the Stork CIC. Visit from the Stork are an award winning project delivering much-needed support to families in hardship in Greater Manchester, providing free baby essentials, toiletries, medicine and breastfeeding support. Abi really is using her time and knowledge to make a difference.

We love to share the community engagement activities on our sites. At our Atlacomulco, Mexico site the team have been recognising and rewarding the efforts of their people through a scholarship programme. This Summer our Shanghai team took part in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and AED usage training; to improve preparedness around employee health and safety at their site. In China, more than 550,000 people die each year from sudden cardiac arrest, so CPR and AED usage really are practical lifesaving skills. We hope these skills never have to be used in real life, but are pleased to see that our team have the skills to deal wth medical emergencies.

Our science-based target proves our commitment to building a sustainable economy, by doing not what is easy but what is necessary: 🙌 Committing to reducing absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 50% by 2030 from a 2015 base year. 🙌 Committing to increasing active annual sourcing of renewable electricity from 0% in 2015 to 80% in 2025 and 100% by 2030. 🙌 Committing to reducing absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 15% by 2030 from a 2019 base year. *The target boundary includes biogenic land-related emissions and removals from bioenergy feedstocks.
