Northern Trust’s first ever Emerging Talent Networking Event in EMEA met with great reviews and plans for the future. Our Client Services Team in Dublin, Ireland recently hosted this event for professionals in the first five years of their career within the funds industry. The goal of this event was to create an opportunity for these individuals to connect and network in an informal and relaxed way. Avril Brierley & Rachel Gleeson were the organizers of this event. Both new to the industry and Northern Trust, they saw a gap in their ability to meet like-minded professionals outside of the company and create meaningful, professional connections. They issues invitations to people at over twenty organizations and saw more than 50 attendees from companies that included William Fry, Dillon Eustace, A&L Goodbody, PWC, IQEQ, Citi, Dechart, Prescient, Grant Thornton, SEIC, Waystone, KMPG, MJ Hudson, and Maples.
When Mary Anthony joined Northern Trust, she never realized how much training and mentorship was available to her and how this support structure would shape her career. Her career began as an Analyst for our Transfer Agency team and this has now blossomed to a process trainer role which she is excelling in. Greg Dulaney from Northern Trust Banking & Treasury Services presented on career advice to the students which was greatly received.
