“The process of interrogating my own identity and mustering up the courage to come out as a queer trans man was difficult, but it taught me how much agency I have in my life. I can question the rules that society has written, and choose to carve out my own pathway and support others who are doing the same. Transitioning forced me to confront the privilege that I gained as I started to be recognized as a white man.
