We’re proud for a second year running to be named in the 50 fastest-growing privately-owned Food & Beverage brands in the UK. The Alantra Fast 50 showcases the most dynamic brands in the F&B space right now and demonstrates how exciting a time it is to be part of Protein Works. It is a prestigious and much-coveted list based on performance growth. Last year, we were in position 24. And this year? We’ve risen to position 13! Being featured high in the Fast 50 is a true measure of the talent and commitment of the people who work across our various sites and form part of our incredible team. A huge thank you to everyone that has been and is part of our incredible journey. Most importantly, we’d like to thank our incredible staff for supporting us and putting in the hard yards behind the scenes to make awards like this possible We’re biased, but we think you’ve all got great taste! #ProteinWorks #Fast50 #TheBestShakesOnThePlanet #lifeatproteinworks

Liam Jordan's Protein Works Journey It's been 18 months since I started on the journey with what was then The Protein Works (we dropped the ‘The’, its cooler!) I have been witness to levels of growth that daren’t be forecast. I have watched us expand our operational space 100% and reach an ever growing larger global market. I have seen us battle through COVID, Brexit, Lockdowns, Trade restrictions (Boris vs. Macron) and come out on the other side winning each and every time. My personal journey started as the Customer Experience (CX) Manager, overseeing a small team of 5 that had worked tirelessly through the first lockdown and smashed everyone's expectations. I couldn't have asked for a friendly bunch to start my eCommerce journey with and they were all extremely patient and helpful as I got up and running. The work these guys had been doing and continue to do is incredible. They operate tirelessly across so many different systems and platforms, all whilst being the liaison between customers, couriers, operations, production and fulfilment. It’s a very impressive
Kyle Crowley's Protein Works journey I joined Protein Works in January 2018, following the completion of my Masters degree in Liverpool. Having lived the majority of my life in Ireland, it was a major step for me to relocate to the UK, but looking back it was definitely the right decision. From the outset I was given a lot of responsibility. I didn’t expect to be managing my own products and projects from day 1, but the fast-paced sport nutrition market demands nothing less. I was also reporting directly into our CEO, Mark Coxhead. This challenge set me on a steep learning curve which has laid the foundations for my career at Protein Works. I remember my first (and favourite) product launch. It was our ‘Loaded Nuts’, a Ben & Jerry’s style peanut butter blended with indulgent pieces. I loved working on the project and learned a lot, but eating peanut butter all day for a month definitely took its toll. Almost 5 years on and a lot has changed. We’ve experienced major growth, and our processes and facilities are always evolving which creates a continuously challenging environment.

I joined the Business on January 4th 2021 and from the moment I arrived I have never looked back. The business oozes success which is driven by the great teams we have working here who strive for nothing less than the very best. That’s what makes us unique – we strive for excellence and are not afraid of learning along the way. I have made some mistakes over my time here and I am not ashamed to admit that, but I have learnt from those mistakes and as a Manufacturing Team we have grown stronger because of it. Within my first few months of being with the business we broke a record with the amount that was packed in a day. That record has since been broken 8 times in 14 months. It’s not all been plain sailing though, as we have encountered numerous external challenges such as Brexit, Suez Canal Blockage which affected our supply chain whilst also dealing with a worldwide pandemic which brings its own challenges as well as contributing towards a significant shortage of labour. We still have a journey to go and one i'm excited to be apart of for the long run
