As part of our global commitment to COVID-19 relief, we continue to support our local communities with grants and in-kind donations. Across parts of Europe, we are donating around 130,000 loungewear products for hospital staff and patients, helping to raise funds in support of COVID-19 medical research for people with cancer as well as providing over 25,000 meals to NHS frontline workers in London hospitals. These commitments build on our Foundation’s recently announced $10 million pledge to help our teams and communities around the world, including a network of international cancer charities and the donation of 250,000 masks and 25,000 isolation gowns to U.S. frontline workers.
We recognize with deep gratitude the extraordinary courage and contributions of frontline workers around the world. To help protect them and the many other heroes on our front lines, the Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation has partnered with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Foundation to donate 250,000 masks and 25,000 isolation gowns. These past two weeks, we have transformed part of our supply chain to start manufacturing machine-washable masks and isolation gowns with several of our factory partners in the U.S. We will start delivering these masks and gowns this week. Thank you to our teams, our suppliers and the many others who have helped make this project possible.
“The health and safety of our teams, customers and communities come first, and our thoughts are with the many impacted by this global pandemic. As we navigate the evolving impacts of COVID-19, we are addressing the acute crisis while ensuring that the strength of our global business endures over the long-term, as it has for more than 50 years. In this challenging global context, we will prioritize the areas where we can have the greatest impact. Our Purpose will continue to guide our every action, and although much uncertainty remains, we are confident in our ability to get through this period successfully.” – Patrice Louvet, President & CEO, Ralph Lauren Corporation
As the world faces a crisis of unprecedented scale, we are committing $10 million in funding toward COVID-19 relief, through the Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation, to support our teams, our partners and our communities. In addition, we are starting the production of 250,000 masks and 25,000 isolation gowns with our U.S. manufacturing partners.
The wellbeing of our teams, friends and family around the world is what matters most right now. We are temporarily closing stores and hospitality locations in select countries, and our employees will be paid during the closure. We encourage you to focus on your family, your safety and your health. It is our hope that we can inspire optimism and unity – not just for our teams, but for our wider global family. It is in the spirit of togetherness that we will rise. — The Ralph Lauren Family
