    Love at the workplace: Sparks in the coffee kitchen

    German employees spend 46 working weeks per year in the company. This is about 1750 hours, which we - sometimes more, sometimes less enjoyably - experience together with our employees.     "I am a chemist - and I have worked in DOM for 13 years. Roche is not my first job in the pharmaceutical-chemical industry. After I completed my university education, I took on managerial duties in my very first job - in those days, however, in the sense of 'learning by doing'.

    Rebecca Schoenlaub works in Roche Diagnostics in Mannheim in Diagnostics Operations Mannheim. She has worked for Roche since 2007 and has also been involved with Quality Control in DOMC in Mannheim since then.

    Reverse mentoring: it's a two-way street

    Özge Uzun is aged just 26. She is tech-savvy and a whizz with social media. When she joined Roche Pharma Turkey in the training centre just two years ago, it was her first job. Since then, she has already risen through the ranks to become an assistant to the General Manager.

    Dirk Schulz, Head of Operations for test trip assembly in Test Strip Production, works in Assay Production in Mannheim (DOMA). He joined Roche Diagnostics in 1990. After working in several positions in central Engineering in Mannheim, he moved to Test Strip Production at the end of 2005 and has worked there ever since.
