CELEBRATING THE 50 YEAR MILESTONE To celebrate, on Tuesday 27 September we held a celebration lunch for the Rudding Park team. Nicky Villars, from our meetings and events team revealed an incredible cake she had been made for the occasion, with no detail gone unnoticed! This was followed on Wednesday 28 September with a cocktail party which saw the Mackaness Family host 250 family, friends, long service employees and associates, who had in some way helped ‘shape’ Rudding Park over the last 50 years. String Infusion performed on the balcony of Rudding House to welcome guests as they enjoyed Champagne and canapes in the Radcliffe Room. Guests enjoyed a video a rendition of the classic song, ‘Hotel California’, with lyrics adapted for the occasion to provide an insightful and humorous glimpse in the Rudding Park story of the last 50 years. This was followed with some congratulatory video messages from TV presenter and Strictly Come Dance contestant, Helen Skelton, rock band, the Stereophonics, Triathlete and Olympian, Jonny Brownlee; Chef and TV Personality Rosemary Shrager.
RUDDING PARK WINS NATIONAL ACCESSIBLE AWARD 26 September 2022 - Rudding Park won the Accessibility Award at the annual AA Hospitality Awards announced at Grosvenor House, London. Hosted by Gabby Logan, the awards recognise the excellence of hotels, restaurants and their teams across the UK. A new category this year, the accessibility award recognises a hotel that has gone above and beyond in making their property as accessible as possible whilst at the same time proactively promoting their accessible credentials. The award not only recognises high quality accessible provision through the physical elements of the property but also, of equal importance, its approach to guests with accessible needs through tailored services, staff training and guest engagement. Peter Banks, Managing Director at Rudding Park said “We are delighted to have won the Accessibility Award – even more so as it is a national award. As a business we need to be representative of our society – we understand guests have different needs and are committed to ensuring our facilities are accessible for all.
DOUBLE WIN FOR RUDDING PARK AT HOSPITALITY AWARDS The Harrogate Hospitality & Tourism Awards were held on Monday 6 June and we are celebrating as Sam Ramsden and Callum Bowmer were announced Receptionist of the Year and Chef of the Year, respectively. A fantastic result and well deserved.
ACORN AWARD WINNERS - 30 UNDER 30 SHINING STARS OF HOSPITALITY We hosted the 36th Acorn Awards on 29 and 30 May, recognising 30 of the hospitality industry's most talented stars aged under 30, including one of our own Jordan Burdall, Golf Academy Manager, who was amongst those to receive an Acorn Award.

RUDDING PARKRACE SUPPORTS THE QUEEN’S GREEN CANOPY We held our first Rudding ParkRace – a 10K multi-terrain trail race on Tuesday 10 May 2022. Over 300 participants ran a route created specifically for the event amongst our 300 acres of landscaped gardens and woodland and raised £4,015 for the Queen’s Green Canopy – an initiative to encourage people to ‘plant a tree for the Jubilee’.

5 October 2021// Rudding Park in Harrogate is celebrating success as their Night Manager, Barry Haller was named ‘Unsung Hero’ at the hospitality industry’s prestigious Boutique Hotelier Awards in London last night. One of six finalists, Barry beat off stiff competition from individuals from two London hotels; the Royal Lancaster and Corinthia, the Grove of Narberth, Glenapp Castle in Ballantrae and slightly closer to home, The Feathers Inn Helmsley.
