Today, Tapestry signed The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) Business Ambition for 1.5ºC, which aims to limit global warming to 1.5°C, and to reach net-zero global emissions by 2050. This aligns our climate mitigation targets with the most ambitious aim of the Paris Agreement and SBTi’s most rigorous guidelines to reduce the destructive impacts of #ClimateChange. “At Tapestry, we are committed to leading with purpose and embracing our responsibility as a global house of fashion brands to effect real and lasting change for our industry and our stakeholders. For the last 15 years, Susan J. Kropf, has been a member of our Company’s Board of Directors. During her tenure, Susan has been a thoughtful partner who has guided us through countless business decisions all while ensuring we stay true to our values. For the past year, Susan has also served as Chair of the Board. Upon turning 72, and after her many contributions, Susan has decided to retire at the end of her current term and will not stand for re-election to the Board at our Company’s annual meeting of stockholders for fiscal year 2021 on November 3, 2021. Susan will remain on the Board and in her role as Chair through the annual meeting. Thank you, Susan, the leadership team and all of Tapestry are grateful for your many years of service. Upon Susan’s retirement in November, the Board intends to elect Anne Gates to succeed Susan as Board Chair. We are fortunate to have Anne to step into this role. She joined the Tapestry Board in 2017 and currently serves as Chair of the Audit Committee and is a member of the Governance and Nominations Committee.

We’re celebrating Tapestry’s latest recognition – being named by Forbes as one of the “Best Employers for Women 2021.” This list recognizes the companies liked most by female employees and was selected based on an independent survey of 50,000 employees—including 30,000 women—working for companies with at least 1,000 employees in the US. As a company that’s 78% female – including 80% of our retail management team, 60% of our VP+ leaders, and being led by a female CEO, Joanne Crevoiserat – this is a significant accolade. While we know there is always more work to do, this recognition celebrates steps in the right direction. #OurTapestry
In a year unlike any other, we kicked off a journey to excavate and articulate our #Tapestry purpose. Now, we’re ready to share it with the world: stretch what’s possible. STRETCH speaks to how tensions challenge us and pull us in new directions. These tensions compel us to look beyond ourselves and embrace new perspectives, experiences, and ideas. WHAT’S POSSIBLE refers to what happens when we embrace the creative tensions within each other, in our industry, and in society. We push past boundaries, pull out the unexpected, and expand what’s possible. Every day, we’re stretching what's possible for our brands and our consumers, and we invite you to come along.
