We’re delighted to welcome David Walter to UW with effect from May-2022, when he will join from OVO as our new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). David joins the business at a pivotal moment to help bolster the company’s leadership team and to support the business through an exciting period of growth. David has a wealth of experience across the energy and telecoms industries, having worked for OVO, SSE, and Centrica in a broad range of Commercial and General Management roles. His most recent role took him to OVO as part of their acquisition of SSE’s retail business, SSE Energy Services, in January 2020. At the European Contact Centre and Customer Service Awards this week, Utility Warehouse took home the Bronze award for ‘Best Flexible Working Approach’. Although we missed out on Gold, winning this award is a huge achievement that we should all be very proud of. Since lockdown, we have worked very hard to adapt to a flexible working approach for our colleagues. We have vastly improved the systems we use to communicate with each other, as well as making sure everyone has access to the information they need anytime, anywhere. But, this wouldn’t have been possible without your patience and contributions. This win puts UW on the map for offering a flexible working approach to our colleagues- just another benefit of working for UW.
Utility Warehouse has announced the appointment of current COO Stuart Burnett as Co-CEO alongside Andrew Lindsay. Stuart joined Utility Warehouse in 2016 as our Director of Legal and Compliance, becoming Commercial Director in 2018 before being appointed as COO in 2019. Since then, Andrew and Stuart have worked closely together in the day to day running of the business. Both Andrew and Stuart will have key focus areas as they take up their Co-CEO roles. Andrew will continue to lead UW’s community of over 40,000 Partners to drive further growth in the business. Leaning on the operational experience he has gained within the business, Stuart will focus on guiding the business through the multiple regulated markets that we operate in, to unlock the growth potential that lies ahead for all four key home services available from UW. Stuart said: ‘I’m thrilled to be joining Andrew as co-CEO at UW. It’s an incredibly exciting time to be stepping up to this role, and I’m delighted to be able to do so at a time when the future of the business is so bright. It’s been a rollercoaster ride over

As Utility Warehouse employees returned to the office, we realised we had a surplus of Chromebooks that we no longer needed. And we wanted to listen to our employees who wanted us to forge closer links with our local community. So we decided to donate 113 Chromebooks to Unitas. Unitas is a local, independent charity and youth centre for Barnet’s young people, located in none other than Montrose Park (that’s right, just by NHQ - so they’re neighbours). You might have noticed their building while taking a leisurely stroll in the park on one of your lunch breaks! The charity does some amazing work with local young people, as well as young adults that require additional support. They focus on three things they deserve and need; somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to. They achieve this by providing a safe place for them to spend their leisure time, various fun activities and 1-2-1 mentoring. Their aim is to inspire them to live healthier, happier and more aspirational lives. Being a fairly new centre, they’ve already managed to gather over 6,500 members since opening th
