Happy Monday, and we hope you had a good Eid weekend for those who celebrated! We are thrilled to spotlight Oumar Ly, Head of BTL and Distribution, who is based out of Gambia. This is his story: “I joined Wave in May 2021 to lead the Distribution and Below The Line (BTL) Marketing team for Senegal. My main motivation to join the team was to bring my contribution to the valuable project of digitally transforming Africa and making it cashless. I am happy and proud to see our positive impact on people’s lives. I love that Wave is a fair and transparent company where all voices are heard, everyone’s opinion is taken into consideration, and teams are motivated and united to reach a common goal. It is a company that promotes excellence and work-life balance. We are quick with decision-making and execution, but we are also flexible and learn from mistakes. I also love the multicultural environment - people from diverse backgrounds work collaboratively. At Wave, you can learn new things every day, information is accessible, and employees are willing to share and receive knowledge with respect and humility. Wave has great values, but my preferred one is - “We are embarrassingly honest.” Honesty is one of the most essential values in life.
