✨ Happy Monday✨ We are pleased to spotlight Mariam Keïta, our Master Agent Admin Officer in Mali, who joined Wave in January 2022. Here is what she has to say: "At Wave, the environment is favorable, and I’ve had the chance to work with very open, competent, and multicultural team members who feel like family. This setting has helped me adapt quickly. At Wave, we have a culture that motivates us to achieve our goals. In my day to day, I've had the opportunity to spend more time with the network of Master Agents who sometimes live in very remote areas and do their best to provide services and support to our clients, agents, and super-agents. I am very honored to be working at Wave to help push innovation in the mobile money field and to advance financial inclusion.” Thank you for this testimony Mariam, and as we’ll always say- working at Wave is but an extension of home, and we’re glad that you’ve found home with other team members. 💙 #dreamjob, #wave, #financialinclusion, #cashless, #lovemyjob
Happy Friday! Today, we are going all the way to Burkina Faso again, in pictures! Our team planned an exceptional goodbye for Ousseynou Diome our very dear Country Launcher, who was relocating out of Burkina Faso to take on an assignment at another of Wave’s locations. What better way to do this than with a surprise party? The party was colored with the local Koko Dunda fabric uniform that team members wore, as a sign of our unity and team spirit. We really do have such an awesome and thoughtful team of Wavers!💙 #team, #dreamjob, #careersinafrica, #wave
✨ Happy First Monday of February! ✨ Today, we are going all the way to Bamako as we spotlight Aboubacar Coulibaly, our People Ops Lead in Mali.🇲🇱 "I joined Wave in September 2021, in its early days in Mali. Since then, I have been in love with the unique work environment and company culture. At Wave, company values are not just beautiful sentences posted on websites but actual living values. Being embarrassingly honest is my favorite value, and Wave makes it easy to live by it every day. No matter whom you have in front of you, you’re not afraid of being judged. Wave has changed the lives of Malians for the better by reducing the money transfer fees, and knowing that I have had a hand in it is one of my biggest pride. One of our strengths at Wave is customer experience. As an ambassador, I look forward to seeing Wave drastically improve how we make payments and do business.” Aboubabcar, this is so refreshing, and thank you so much for sharing! 💙 #dreamjob, #fintech, #cashless, #mali, #mobilemoney, #careeropportunity

Hey there!!!👋🏽 What better way to kick off our Wonder Woman Wednesday series for the year, than with this feature of the formidable duo of Emily Austin and Djienaba Fall, two of our People female leaders at Wave 😎 . We delight in fun facts, so here’s one - Emily is Wave’s Chief People Officer, while Djienaba is her report and her Chief of Staff! As Chief of Staff, Djienaba works on People projects that require a cross-team & multicultural view, allowing Emily to focus on managing strategy, building processes, culture and teams across the company. We love the Emily<>Djienaba duo, and this picture is only a sneak peek of one of their many ‘two peas in a pod’’ moments, as collaborators 😍. Stay awesome 💙 ! #people #culture #leaders #projects #building #team #peopleandculture #peopleoperations
Hey there 👋🏽 and hope your week ended well! At Wave, our People Operations team uses a Product mindset to solve real HR problems 🤓! It all started with some fuzzy insight from our employee engagement survey, where team members hinted at “wanting more career planning’’. Our People Ops team, with the guidance of our Chief Product Officer, Lincoln Quirk, determined that this was something worth solving. Next, the team deep-dived into some context and employee stories and after the deep-dive session, was able to hone in on potential solutions, and then prioritized them through a voting system. The team agreed that one of the recommended solutions that would be their first prototype will be to- “establish a regular placeholder, where people discuss career goals with their managers and share their vision through a professional development plan”. Once the team has tested this out with a few team members, the next step would be to weigh the impact (through feedback), and then move towards a broader team or country based roll-out. Remember, it’s not just about launching a new People
At Wave, our remote teams meet 3-6 times a year for the perfect mix of work and play! Most recently, our employees congregated in Abidjan, Dakar, and Washington DC to shadow our operations, meet our users, plan for the coming cycle, and have fun. These pictures are proof that whenever we get together, wherever it is and whatever the size- it's all positive vibes, adventure and living our fullest lives now!
