Say hello to Karen Stone. After progressing in a number of HR roles, from HR adviser in a small testing business to HR coordinator at the Priory Hospital Group, Karen joined Which? as a People adviser. She said: ‘I was impressed by the Which? values and I’m thrilled to report that having been here for a number of months now, working with the People team, these values are clearly at the forefront of the our teams’ priorities and play a huge part in terms of employee retention. As someone with no qualifications, but lots of hands-on experience within HR, I underestimated my abilities. I realise only now, having passed my probationary period, receiving amazing feedback from colleagues and having my fixed-term contract made permanent, that the belief my hiring manager had in me being able to carry out this role successfully was real. I love working for Which? and look forward to making a difference for years to come.’

This morning, our consumer expert, Lisa Webb, appeared on ITV Good Morning Britain to discuss our findings which show that poorer households are bearing the brunt of rising food costs. Lisa said 'It's the value ranges that are going up the most, over 21% from last year. That is a huge amount of money, particularly for someone who knows exactly what they're spending each month because they have to budget. Whilst each individual penny added to the cost of a tin of beans may not seem like much, if you need to keep track of your spending and all of a sudden a few pence is added to every item, you're going to be impacted.' In her latest comment piece for The Times Red Box, Rocio Concha Galguera Which? director of Policy and Advocacy writes: 'If any good can come from the dangerous plug-in heaters we looked at, it could be that they might just lead to the thawing of the deep freeze that’s set in among ministers, regulators and tech giants to do anything about it. As we’ve found, our finances, emotional wellbeing and even the physical safety of ourselves and our families can depend on them.'
