A big congratulations to Thomas, who is celebrating 10 years with the company! We sat down with Thom to find out more about his time at Zest. Q. What is the appeal of working for Zest? It sounds like something you'd say in a LinkedIn post to big up the company but there has not been one day during my time here that I've dreaded coming to work and I feel the reason for this, first and foremost, is because of the people. Everyone is always up for a laugh and doesn't take themselves too seriously at any level which gives a relaxed social atmosphere. Q. How do you feel the company has changed over your time here? Professional development has been key to my own standing in the business and it's great to see people that joined the company into entry-level positions, much like myself, moving into management and strategic roles. Q. How do you feel you fit into the Zest culture? I'm a Zest legend.

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week! Everybody knows the importance of physical health, but people tend to forget just how equally important it is to prioritise our mental health. For many years there has been a stigma around talking about how we really feel, and how this could be manifesting in other areas of our life, but research shows that 1 in every 4 people will experience a mental health problem of some kind each year in England. Here at Zest, we have several touchpoints we can use if we feel we require assistance or just want to stay on top of our mental health. Our Employee Assistance Programme provides lots of resources, including 6 free counseling sessions for us or our immediate family to take advantage of. Alongside this, we hold quarterly well-being meetings with our People Team, giving us the opportunity to raise any concerns we have within the business but also on a personal level. This week is about encouraging people to speak out and reach out, should they need to, and tackle the stigma around mental health.
