It's 12 days to our annual award ceremony, the BER's, and we couldn't be more excited! The BER Awards give us the opportunity to recognize and reward those who have gone above and beyond over the course of the year. This year there are four award categories, each relating back to our company values. 💛 Value Champion - Celebrates the employees who consistently embody our values and serve as role models for their colleagues. ⭐️ Star Player - Recognises those who have truly shone in their role, achieving incredible things and showing their exceptional talents. 🔥 Leading Light - Celebrates the individual who has showcased exceptional leadership qualities, exceptional communication, and an aptitude for building solid relationships. 💥 Big Impact - Recognises the individual who has made the most significant individual impact on our business over the past year. Our graphic designer, Jacob, has been working hard to finalize the designs for the 2023 trophies, and today we got a sneak preview. We can't wait to see who the BER 2023 winners are…🏆
Everybody knows how important our physical health is to keep our bodies healthy and functioning, but sometimes we can forget that our mental health is just as important. At Zest, we've partnered with the mental health charity Mind to help to support our employees and keep our brains happy. We also have regular well-being meetings with all employees and offer a free external Employee Assistance program. Here are some helpful tips for coping with stress in the workplace, according to Mind: 🧠 Understand more about stress to help you recognise the signs 🧠Figure out what you find stressful and helpful. You could make a Wellness Action Plan to map out what causes stress and keeps you well. Once you know what's best, talk to your employer. They may be able to make some changes to help you. 🧠 Learn different coping techniques. Everyone deals with stress differently, so take time to find methods that work for you. 🧠Try practising mindfulness. This practice is about focusing on the here and now. It might help you to find calmness and clarity to respond to stressful situations.
