Many people say that money isn’t their number one priority when looking for a job and often put company culture, personal development and job satisfaction first. People with a caring nature would rarely put money first, it isn’t their motivator, they’ll look for jobs where they can use their natural caring skills instead. Does this sound like you? If so here are five jobs where you can put your caring skills to good use. Nurse When anyone thinks of a caring profession, they usually think of a nurse. Many nurses you speak to will tell you that it’s their vocation, it was something they knew they had to do from a very young age and no other job would do. Some people become a nurse because other members of the family were or are nurses, some people have become a nurse after themselves being treated by one. Ask a nurse why they do the job they do, and they'll tell you it's in their DNA. Vet Dogs, cats, lizards, horses, cows and more need caring for and it’s not just the animals you’ll end up caring for as a vet, their owners also need some TLC. Helping animals every day to lead active lives, and alleviate their suffering is a very satisfying role. Every day is varied; some days will require you to be very strong while pet owners are crying around you. You’ll also get to work with other animal lovers; there’s nothing better than being with people who are just as passionate as you are. Occupational Therapist Occupational therapists help children and adults with everyday life tasks and challenges. It could be that the person who needs the help has a mental or physical condition; an occupational therapist will help them develop, recover or improve the skills they need for everyday living. Care worker As a care worker, you’ll get a lot of satisfaction knowing that you are making a difference to peoples lives daily. Some people become very dependent on their care workers which is understandable as care workers do a lot to make sure their patients feel comfortable and safe, as well as the additional support they give.   Nursery Assistant Watching children, develop and learn skills is such a rewarding job. It’s not all playtime being a nursery assistant; there’s a lot of supervising, clearing up and continuously checking for hazards. Each day will give you many heartwarming moments as well as a few runny noses to wipe. The ability to care is an important skill that humans need, a skill that robots can't replicate.
