Job Title: DTU Administrator

Location: Churchill Hospital, Old Road, Headington, Oxford, OX3 7LE

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday 8a. – 4pm / 8.30am – 4.30pm / 0am – 5pm

Role type: Temporary for 4 months with possibility of extension

Duties to include but not limited to:

· Be a member of the Day Treatment Unit (DTU) and provide comprehensive administrative support to the DTU nurses and service based at the Churchill Hospital and is efficiently managing the processes underpinning: management of our databases (EPR, ARIA), chemotherapy delivery across day services, helping with patient queries, and booking transport.

· The postholder will also be required to provide receptionist and administrative support for the main Outpatients Desk in the Cancer Centre.

· Be able to have a sensitive and compassionate manner with patients and relatives.

· Use EPR to capture all patient activity on a daily basis within DTU; this includes being able to complete waiting lists, admissions/discharges, ward attenders and appointments.

· Use other software systems, such as ARIA, to ensure input of data on to EPR is correct.

· Have thorough knowledge of 18 weeks of referral to treatment in relation to patients and how this applies to patients being referred to oncology/haematology.

· Answer the telephone and take messages from patients, relatives, doctors, allied health care professionals, etc., and deal with any queries as appropriate.

This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
